It’s all about the Details

Custom Built in Steamboat Springs

Road

The term ‘road bike’ is very general these days. It’s hard classify as one category because there are so many different styles of riding on pavement. Are you interested in a road bike? Give us a call!

Gravel and Cross

Versatility is the hallmark of our cross and gravel grinder bikes. Whether racing, expanding your ride options, or adding to the fleet, from pavement to dirt, a gravel bike can really open up some new riding opportunities. Gravel riding is taking off! Give us a call if you’re interested!

Mountain

Hardtails, full suspensions, plus sized tires, fat bikes, the list goes on. We’re open to building almost anything you can dream up. Like all our bikes, our mountain bikes are built specifically for you. Tell us about yourself and your trails, and we will be able to make a bike that will confidently tackle any terrain.

Fat and Plus

Groomed snow trails, single track, and sandy beaches are all options with a fat or plus bike. You tell us your tire size preference, riding style, and goals and we’ll make a bike that can confidently handle the most extreme conditions.

Tandem

Kent loves Tandems! His years of experience both riding and designing tandems is evident. Kent and Katie have ridden many tandem miles both on and off road, multi day touring, road racing and ultra-distances. In fact, we won the award for Best Titanium Bike in 2009, 2011, and 2012 at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show. Road, Mountain and coupled tandems are available for design.

A Rich History

Kent Eriksen Cycles was born in 2005 from a love of bikes, innovation, adventure and the outdoors. As the original founder of Moots Cycles, Kent’s extensive experience in the hand built bike industry provided him the perfect opportunity to create Kent Eriksen Cycles. With the idea that each bike would be custom built and sold direct to each customer, Kent wanted to create a business model that puts the rider’s wishes first.

A Promising Future

In December 2016, Kent’s longtime friend and colleague, Brad Bingham took over Kent Eriksen Cycles with the intention to continue his titanium bike building legacy. Kent and Brad continue to work together at the shop. Kent works part time as he will eventually retire completely. Until then we are grateful to still have him and his expertise on our team! In the meantime Brad has created his own brand name, check out Bingham Built.
